Guildrun: Frequently Asked Questions
Guildrun is a PvE roguelike autobattler game.
We are aiming to release Guildrun in 2027.
The demo of Guildrun is available on Steam. The game is compatible on Windows and Mac. Plans for Linux support are not yet determined.
The demo supports English, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil.), Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. More languages are planned to be added in the future.
We’re big fans of autobattlers and roguelikes. Teamfight Tactics and Slay The Spire helped shape our thinking around strategy, progression, and replayability.
Each run lets you evolve your heroes through upgrades, paths, items, and relics, creating new strategies every time. Success depends on how you build your team and adapt to the challenges you face in endless monster-filled rifts.
The game is currently focused on singleplayer, yet a 2-player co-op mode is in development. PvP is not planned, Guildrun is focussed on a pure PvE experience.
All art in the game is hand-painted by our talented artists Kathi and Dewi who've been working hard on the game since last year. Guildrun's style seems to be unfortunately a style that a lot of AI tries to replicate which sucks a bit, so we've decided to add this disclaimer to the FAQs.
Our community has been involved in the development of Guildrun since we had the first playable version. Their feedback has already played a big role throughout the development of the game, and we plan to continue working closely with players as development progresses. If you'd like to help shape Guildrun, we’d love to have you join the conversation on our Discord: discord.gg/guildrun.
Yes! The demo will stay online for a while. We want players to continue exploring it while we keep working on the game together with the community and gather feedback.
Guildrun is already playable on Steam deck with mousepad and L1 and L2. We're interested in adding controller and official Steam Deck support and will be looking into it, but we can't make any promises at this stage. We'll share more information as development progresses.
Yes, we plan for every Steam account to keep the progress they make in the demo in the full game (metaprogression, difficulty unlocks and hero mastery stars).
Guildrun will be a premium game, and available on Steam for a one-time purchase. We have not landed on a price yet.
Yes. We will open a beta branch on the Steam demo up soon after launch, where we’ll update the game frequently with new content and features to get feedback from our community.
We’re sorry to hear that! If you don’t find anything about it on our support website, please reach out to us through our Report a Bug form and we’ll be happy to help.
